Summer Skincare: Daily Regimen

With things heating up outside, I’ve officially started my daily summer skincare regimen. The products featured below are products I use on the daily during summer months (or until it starts to cool off again). While the products are great products, consistency is key to having healthy skin. I never go a morning or night without washing my face, and I try to never fall asleep with makeup on.

By following these 5 steps every single day, I keep my face “no-makeup” ready and can confidently wear a bare face in these hot, muggy months:

Morning:

1. Aveeno Positively Radiant Skin Brightening Daily Scrub

A little of this product goes a long way – I use a dime size amount for my whole face. The soy extract, jojobo oil, and castor oil in this scrub helps brighten and tone the skin. After scrubbing gently with my fingertips, I rinse with cool water to help tighten and close my pores for the day.

2. Aveeno Positively Radiant Daily Moisturizer with SPF 15

Since my job or fitness regimen can take me outside during the day, I make sure to incorporate products that have sunscreen in them. One pump of this moisturizer gives me a smooth, non-greasy layer of protection from the sun.

Night:

3. Aveeno Positively Radiant Skin Brightening Daily Scrub

I also use this face wash at night since it’s gentle enough to use twice daily and cleanses without leaving your face feeling striped. I still use a dime size amount at night, but rinse with warm water to keep my pores open to receive the next two steps in my regimen.

4. Thayers Cucumber Witch Hazel Aloe Vera Formula Alcohol-Free Facial Toner

It’s important for me to use this at night because it helps release those more stubborn bits of dirt from my pores. Just dampen a cotton pad with the witch hazel, and wipe over face, behind ears, and down your neck. I love the cooling sensation of the cucumber and the moisturizing benefits of an alcohol-free aloe vera formula. There are many different types of Thayers Witch Hazel Facial Toner, all of which are specially formulated to help the skin with different issues.

5. Origins High-Potency Night-A-Mins Resurfacing Cream w/ Fruit Derived AHAs (formerly Night-A-Mins Mineral Enriched Renewal Cream)

This overnight moisturizer puts the glow back in my face by replenishing much needed vitamins in my skin. The new formula has added Alpha Hydroxy Acids (AHAs) which helps the skin combat dullness. I can honestly say my skin has been glowing even more with this new formula! A little of this product also goes a long way.

Now I’m no certified dermatologist or anything, so don’t come for me if you try these and something doesn’t work for you. Have you tried any of these products? If so, how’d you like em? What products are you using in your daily summer skincare regimen? Sound off below!

    1. Yes!! The origins night-a-mins is a must have, but definitely look for alcohol free witch hazel bc those are usually the harsher alcohols and they can lead to dry wrinkly skin!
