The Honey and Sage Deep Conditioner contains natural and organic ingredients such as honey, babassu oil, sage, extra virgin olive oil, and aloe vera juice. According to alikaynaturals.com, this “is a premium, 100% natural humectant-based deep treatment for delivering maximum moisture to dry, damaged hair.” This product targets ALL hair types, and an 8 oz jar retails online for about $16. I purchased mine at a local hair store for $14.
Before I applied the deep conditioner, my hair was stiff and extremely dry. My hair is always zapped of moisture during the summer, and I needed a go-to product that I could alternate with my DIY deep conditioner.
Since the Honey and Sage Deep Conditioner has ingredients that are also staples in my DIY conditioner, I decided to give it a try.
The sage pieces, if not rinsed well enough, are sometimes left in single strand tangles in my hair.
It has honey. My hair LOVES honey. Honey is so good for natural hair because it’s an anti-bacterial and locks moisture into hair follicles.
It has aloe vera juice. This is another ingredient my hair absolutely loves. Sometimes I even use it as a prewash.
The shine and moisture added from this product is LEGIT. For me, the shine lasted a few days, but I noticed that my hair didn’t get extremely dry until the day before my next wash day. (I usually get 7 to 9 days in between washed).
Smells great! Seriously, this product smells like baked goodies. Please don’t attempt to eat it, lol.
Detangles. Surprisingly, this product was great for helping me finger-comb through my tangled hair!
The Honey and Sage Deep Conditioner gets a solid 10 out of 10 for a deep conditioner that detangles and locks in moisture. This will definitely be a go-to product for me to alternate with my DIY deep conditioner. Alikay Naturals even offers 16 oz and gallon sizes on their website.
